Team Manager, Integrated Contact and Referral Team/ MASH
Grade 10 (SCP 42-46) £50,512 - £54,762 per annum
Plus Additional payments of £1239 per annum market supplement paid monthly;
2% Recruitment and retention allowance paid monthly.
Permanent/37 Hours

Together for Children works on behalf of Sunderland City Council to deliver children’s services in the city. An Ofsted rated Outstanding service, ‘where all workers have reasonable caseloads and are well supported by visible and approachable managers; as a result, social workers are supported to carry out innovative work with children’ (Ofsted 2021).
Due to internal progression, We are looking to appoint a Team Manager within the Integrated contact and Referral Team.

Together for Children have adopted the Signs of Safety model of practice. Signs of Safety is embedded in all areas of practice across the service. Applications are welcomed from those with and without any knowledge and experience of Signs of Safety, as we have the benefit of an extensive training and support offer via our dedicated Practice Development team. Support includes co-working and dedicated 1-1 sessions.
You will have experience of supervising and overseeing social workers working alongside partners to make enquiries into worries raised about children in the Sunderland area. There will be an expectation that you will be confident in decision making relating to children in need of support and protection and will provide high quality reflective supervision and quality assurance to the social workers in your team. You will be expected to work collaboratively with partner agencies to provide a high level of support and intervention in response to assessed need.
You will lead a small social work team and benefit from a high level of support in your role from an Assistant team Manager, you will receive support and mentoring from the senior management team to support you in your management role. Together for Children prides itself on a visible senior management team who promote a nurturing, learning environment with high support and high challenge.

Additional specialist training programmes currently offered to staff include Trauma Informed Practice and Safe & Together training. This training compliments new initiatives within Together for Children, such as our new edge of care team ‘WEAR Together’ and specialist support services for children and young people who have experienced neglect and abuse.
