Team Member (Logistics)

Salary up to £28,900 per year plus a strong benefits package and further career development

Bonnybridge (x1 position) and Cambuslang (x1 position)

As Logistics Team Member you will provide an efficient, effective and customer orientated logistics service to the business. You will process material requests by liaising with internal customers and external suppliers and assist in the effective control and delivery of logistics inventory. You should be flexible in the tasks requested to complete by Team Leaders following the appropriate training

Role

As a Logistic Team Member role, you will be responsible for a fast-paced process that requires a high level of accuracy in your work as you monitor and assist in the goods in/out process for the business.

This role will be the wheels and legs of logistically delivering battery units to a defined set of customers pre outage, picking up post outage, and charging.

Upon displaying the correct work ethic and commitment - the role will allow the successful candidate to move through a pathway for further development and career progression.

What you'll be doing

At Scottish Power our priority is to Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others.

  • You will bring a track record of providing excellent Customer Service and Communication Skills throughout the position.

  • Delivery of ScottishPower battery sets to customers who are off supply during planned outages

  • Check for damaged or missing items

  • Store goods appropriately

  • Pick and pack orders for dispatch

  • Move stock around either by hand, using lifting equipment or a forklift truck

  • Load goods for dispatch

  • Keep accurate stock records

  • Carry out weekly stock counts locally and across the network as and when required

  • Keep paperwork up to date

  • Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures

  • Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety, and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others

  • Handle any hazardous materials in an appropriate manner

  • Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency

  • Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value

Other duties include assisting with general office administration including the updating of inventory systems, maintain necessary document control systems, attend and participate in Team + Safety Briefs.

  • Previous Logistics/Warehouse environment exposure
