Technical Account Manager

Permanent

Based: St Albans / Hybrid

 

We are looking for a Technical Account Manager to join our Central Technical team. As our next Technical Account Manager, you'll be responsible for coordinating the technical interface between Premier customer products and customers in areas such as quality, food safety, product/packaging development, and technical support. You'll be supporting customer brand managers on technical requests and providing food safety and quality advice for export.

 

To excel in this role, you'll need to be proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic with proven team working skills and a strong understanding of legal label compliance. We're looking for someone who has graduated in Food and has experience working with retail customers. This role requires experience in project management and a good understanding of customer technical and development requirements.

The Key Requirements...

  • Co-ordinates and engages others to ensure all customer requirements (UK and international) are met.
  • Awareness and implementation of legal requirements, codes of practice including international requirements such as FDA approvals or Canadian Safe food requirements etc…
  • Works with the Technical teams in Central Technical and site technical to ensure accurate implementation and analysis of agreed standards.
  • Coordinate and ensure effective product specification generation for customer via Specifications Team
  • Coordinates response for ESG related requests from customers
  • Ensure Premier is delivering against customers Codes of Practice
  • Support and coordination of customer visits and technical compliance audits
  • Deal with day-to-day own customer requirements for information and technical advice with guidance from line manager and established TAMs on technical advice relating to food safety and quality.
  • Review customer brand specifications, artwork & product to ensure legal and match to specification.
  • Be the main technical lead on any new ‘route to market’ projects which will involve risk assessing product and packaging and providing technical support with the packaging and project teams.
  • Provide technical solutions and compliance to ensure product arrives in destination to the best quality and safely.

As a Technical Account Manager, you have proven team working skills and understanding of legal label compliance. With a food background and experience with retail customers, along with project management experience, you understand customer technical and development requirements. You possess good influencing and interpersonal skills and enjoy embracing challenges and finding innovative solutions. Your responsibility is to build and maintain relationships with customers, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
