We operate a fleet of about 960 vehicles across North Yorkshire. The fleet consists of a variety of vehicles from refuge collection vehicles, gritters, road sweepers, minibuses, tippers, cars and vans.
We work closely with NY Highways Ltd and other Brierley Group Companies and provide a maintenance service to those companies where required where there are a further 300 vehicles. We also operate about 200 vehicles on its Goods Operator Licence and 105 minibuses on Transport Act Permits.
The safe operation and availability of vehicles is vital so that services are able to discharge their function without impediment, to ensure that road safety is maintained and that the reputation of the Council is protected.
