Role overview:
Working as part of an integrated delivery team, the Technical Business Analyst will be an expert at interpreting business requirements and translating them into technical requirements against which solutions can be developed. You will work with internal and external stakeholders, including architects and technical SMEs to carry out your responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a point of contact for customers during the requirements gathering and elaboration process as well as t ranslate agreed business requirements into functional and non-functional requirements
- Deliver detailed functional specifications in alignment with the agreed high-level solution architecture document in addition to ensuring that technical deliverables accurately reflect the defined requirements
- Participate in regular project events and ceremonies, such as daily scrums, sprint planning and reviews, weekly customer calls, etc
- Provide ongoing guidance and clarification of requirements and support the project manager to prioritise the delivery backlog
- Create and manage change requests in a controlled manner and define detailed acceptance criteria for change and fix requests sufficient for developers to code against
- Have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related degree achieving a minimum of 2.1 classification
- Understands the full product delivery lifecycle from idea to implementation and has demonstrable experience of BA support and delivery in a variety of methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall
- Experience in providing BA support and delivering technical requirements for products with regular contractually agreed delivery and release cycles
- Prior experience of application lifecycle management tools such as Azure Dev Ops
- Solid understanding of working autonomously and can work with business and technically focused stakeholders to elicit accurate and measurable technical requirements
- Knowledge of business-to-business (B2B) integration
