Job Overview:
As a Cyber Security Consultant, you'll play a pivotal role in guiding clients through cybersecurity complexities. Your responsibilities encompass leading assessments, aiding pre-sales efforts, crafting security strategies, and overseeing a cybersecurity consultant. The role entails staying abreast of cybersecurity trends, collaborating with technical teams, and supporting sales by highlighting technical aspects and benefits to potential clients. The position allows for hybrid work in either Edinburgh or Aberdeen.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough cybersecurity assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities.
- Support pre-sales consultations by assisting sales teams in understanding client needs and conveying value propositions.
- Develop and present tailored security solutions based on client requirements.
- Provide guidance on implementing cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials) and regulatory standards (GDPR).
- Design incident response strategies and conduct training for clients and internal teams.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and threats to enhance services continually.
- Directly manage and mentor a cybersecurity consultant, fostering skill development and team synergy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of proven cybersecurity consulting experience.
- Expertise in cybersecurity frameworks and compliance regulations.
- Proficiency in risk assessment tools, SIEM, and vulnerability management solutions.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
- ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Auditor is desired but not essential.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management.
- Strategic thinker with a consultative problem-solving approach.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
