The Technical Coordinator (Festivals & Sites) will work within our Hippodrome Sites department, supporting across a 6-month period in 2024 to expand our activity outside of the Hippodrome building to see out city as a third stage, alive with programmes, productions and events in collaboration with partners across the city.
The successful candidate will support the Head of Hippodrome Sites to coordinate technical aspects of our 2024 programme including B-SIDE Hip Hop Festival, Birmingham Weekender and other events throughout planning and event delivery.
This role is part of the Without Walls Associate Programme (further details) - to widen the range of voices and talent across the sector, and support development of professionals who want to progress skills and careers in the outdoor arts. As part of the development programme, attendance at Without Walls meetings and events is required, as well as at Without Walls festivals and artist presentations.
A key aim of the development programme is to increase the representation of practitioners from communities currently under-represented in the outdoor-arts sector, particularly professionals identifying as being from the Global Majority.
