About the role
Just over 80 people work in our Wholesale Broking and Outplacement Services and, it’s fair to say, our remit is a varied and very important one. We work on an unusually wide range of insurance subject matter, from Complex Casualty to Financial Risk, Marine Hull to Animal Disease.
We have seen year on year growth, including retentions of 94% which has led to the need to recruit a Technical Corporate Account Handler. We are a busy, friendly and service orientated department and we’re looking for someone with a solid Commercial Insurance background to add experience to our knowledgeable Team.
You’ll oversee and handle, as necessary, the placement of predominately Large Corporate, Complex or Multi class solutions and support our Agency Network throughout the process. This will include liaising with insurance partners to obtain appropriate terms and ensure terms are provided in line with the agreed criteria.
You’ll also be one of the technical ‘go to’ members within the team to support our Commercial Account Handlers with any complex cases they are dealing with and expand their technical competency.
A key part of the role will be building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholder across the business to ensure effective delivery of objectives. This will include holding suppliers to account regarding service and quality and escalating where necessary.
This role falls under Insurance Distribution Directive requirements, and as a result, role holders will be required to demonstrate ongoing Continuous Professional Development in role, along with undergoing regular re-screening to show that they are of “Good Repute”. About you
As a skilled Senior Commercial Account Handler, you will have relevant experience of handling Large complex cases and providing technical expertise across a broad range of commercial insurance business
You will bring extensive knowledge of the Commercial Insurance Market and will have operated in a new or existing business role in either a broker or insurer.
You will have a keen eye for detail as well as the ability to understand complex wording to ensure we are delivering the best solutions for our customers.

- Experience of delivering technical guidance and support to internal and external colleagues
- Problem solving skills as well as the ability to influence at all levels
- Ability to take accountability within your role
- London Market Placement experience is desirable
- UK regulatory experience
