  • Running Harding or Vidchecker tests as required.

  • Understanding and executing the end-to-end file delivery process, including creation of new jobs in Provys and the pushing of metadata to SCS.

  • Management of media and projects on all relevant network locations and file delivery/viewing systems.

  • Troubleshooting issues with media, identifying where an issue has arisen in the workflow, arranging re-deliveries, and relinking as appropriate.

  • Troubleshooting issues with the edit platform and the edit suites and reporting issues to the Postproduction Operations supervisor and relevant engineering teams as required.

  • Playing out, packaging, and delivering assets from and to Edit, GFX and/or Audio.

  • Carrying out basic Edit or GFX work as required.

  • Communicating queries or missing materials to Edit Bookings and/or the Edit Coordinators. Liaising with the internal and external media suppliers where necessary.

  • QC-ing of assets and edited sequences.

  • Keeping all paperwork and logs up-to-date and accurate.

  • Able to thoroughly carry out metadata entry tasks.

  • Responsible for ensuring all operational procedures are followed.

  • Prioritise and deal with queries as quickly and efficiently as possible.

  • Analyse the current workflow and propose/report anything that can be improved.

  • Knowledge of Helmut and MAM/Framelight.

  • Experience with file-based workflows and broadcast technology, including understanding of video and audio theory.

  • Understanding of PSE compliance.

  • An understanding of remote edit, Cloud-based workflows and virtual machines.

  • Proficiency with common file types, codecs and resolutions.

  • Ability to QC and repair, where necessary, erroneous content.

  • Good organizational skills – a focused, analytical and methodical approach with excellent attention to detail.

  • An ability to multitask, prioritising TX-critical tasks while ensuring progress continues to be made on all other jobs.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own time and work to meet demanding deadlines.

  • Adaptability, catering to the varying needs of different internal clients.

  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work well under pressure.

  • Technical training and experience in a recognized post facility or media-based organization, particularly those with tight deadlines and quick turnarounds.
