Job description

Would you like to join an international defence company to support a challenging programme, with a requirement for delivering technical publications for Electronic Warfare (EW) equipment, used by the Royal Navy that will ultimately shape the future of sea warfare? Due to continued investment, this global business is currently looking for a Technical Illustratorto join their existing team on a 12 month contact (occasional travel to Bristol and Plymouth will be required).

The Role

As aTechnical Illustrator, your responsibilities will include the following but not limited to:

  • originating graphics in compliance with the international specification for Technical Publications, ASD-S1000D Issue 4.1
  • support the Technical Author research and analyse complex technical information to produce high quality technical documentation which will enable an end-user to operate and maintain the equipment correctly and safely
  • attend customer facing meetings

You

To succeed within the role of a Technical Illustrator, you'll have experience in a similar position and have the following skills:

  • Minimum of an accredited technical graphics qualification with previous experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD).
  • Isometric / 2D Illustrations
  • 3D CAD
  • S1000D Issue 4.1 and S2000M
  • Desktop publishing including Adobe Acrobat and MS Office
  • CSDB / IETP Management using EAGLE Toolset

Please note that due to security nature of this role, offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining security clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and will require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
