You will be HCPC registered, passionate about working with people with neurological conditions to support their rehabilitation, condition management and maximise their quality of life.

You'll work in partnership with residents and carers to set realistic goals and develop collaborative intervention plans, with regular reviews to monitor progress and adapt.

Working as a member of the transdisciplinary team, you'll ensure that high quality individualised care is delivered, which ensures safety and a commitment to promoting recovery, wellbeing, and maximising independence/quality of life.

You will be familiar with the use of outcome measures such as FIM/FAM, CRS-R, WHIM and TOMS, and have experience in managing a designated caseload using knowledge of relevant Occupational Therapy theory. You'll also have practical experience of completing assessments, planning, implementing evidence-based Occupational Therapy interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans.

With a strong emphasis on teamwork, you'll receive support from a regional network of healthcare professionals and enjoy access to a wide variety of training courses to support you reaching your career goals.

This role involves:

  • Completing neurological assessments, treatment planning and interventions
  • Rehabilitation interventions to improve function and independence with ADLs
  • Cognitive assessment/rehabilitation
  • Use of therapeutic handling skills
  • Assessing environment and equipment needs including specialist seating
  • Identifying ongoing needs whilst maximising quality of life
  • Liaising with community colleagues to facilitate complex discharge planning
  • Evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans
  • Supervise Occupational Therapy support staff and students
  • Implement and develop evidence-based therapeutic activities

Location: Greenfields, 290 Station Road, Knuston, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, NN29 7EY

Greenfields is a specialist Neurological Care Centre with a neurobehavioral approach to supporting residents who require intensive rehabilitation and long term stays to aid rehabilitation goals and respite care.

The aim is to achieve individual goals and support residents to maintain their dignity and respect, within an environment which has been adapted to meet their needs. You'll be joining a clinically led and innovative team that delivers truly person-centred services, providing assessment, treatment and management of active rehabilitation to men and women with a brain injury or neurological condition, often with co-morbid complex physical health needs and/or mental health conditions. It is situated within tranquil grounds in the village of Knuston, Northamptonshire.
