They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Manager to oversee their technical operations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing product quality, safety standards, and regulatory compliance while ensuring continuous improvement in processes and procedures.
Responsibilities:
1. Quality Assurance and Control:
• Implement and maintain robust quality assurance systems to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and product specifications.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to guarantee compliance with relevant food safety regulations and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues efficiently.
2. Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and improvements in product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the production process.
3. Regulatory Compliance:
• Stay updated with changes in food safety regulations and standards, ensuring the company's compliance.
• Act as the main point of contact during regulatory inspections and audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and procedures are in place.
4. Team Leadership and Development:
• Lead and mentor the technical team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
5. Supplier and Customer Relations:
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of raw materials and ingredients meets the company's standards.
• Work closely with customers to address technical queries, specifications, and resolve any quality-related issues.
Requirements:
Relevant qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role within the food manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality management systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions.
A proactive approach towards continuous improvement and problem-solving.
Salary £30k - £40k
