About us:
In Digital Intelligence's C5ISR Business Unit we deliver solutions to complex multi-domain communication problems from the sea bed to outer space. We link information from operator, sensors, tactical systems, to provide fused information in a timely fashion to support decision making We are world leaders in communications, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, securing data for communication and processing and providing advanced training for the systems and platform that BAE Systems delivers.
About you:
You might come from a number of different backgrounds: Academia; MoD; Defence Supplier; Commercial Electronics/Antennas Organisation
You will have a good network of relevant individuals from across MoD, User Communities, Defence Supply Chain and/or relevant commercial industry
You will be able to influence MoD thinking on future requirements and technology selection
You will have an engineering background and have experience of translating customer need and operational context into solutions
Skills/Experiences:
You will have a thorough understanding of the underpinning physics in developing microwave components, antennas and other advanced EM / RF components & systems. You will have a good understanding of the mathematical modelling techniques used in the field as well as a the practical limitations in design. You will understand how measurements of em and microwave components are made, including the use of anechoic chambers and associated equipment. You will understand how to design, model and validate concepts and design to the both explore the art-of-the possible and satisfy requirements through all stages of the development lifecycle.
Activities:
Acting as a technical expert guiding and supervising the development of novel electro-magnetic sub-systems in the areas of CEMA, sensors and communications. Building relationships with customers and partners and helping to define and bid deliverable programmes. Mentoring and developing teams of early career engineers in a fast paced and energetic environment.
