About the Role:

Wirral Council are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to deliver statutory functions within the Environmental Health Service.

This role provides specialist technical support within the Environmental Health Service by carrying out 
investigations, inspections, providing advice, and taking relevant enforcement action where 
necessary including court proceedings. 

About the candidate:

You will have excellent communication skills and be customer focussed.

You will be expected to enforce legislation and to specialise in at least one of the many disciplines within Environmental Health such as Housing, Public Health, Pollution Control, Food Safety, Health and Safety or Animal Health.

The postholder will be responsible for investigating complaints and carrying out inspections in at least one of the specialist areas and will be required to liaise with both internal and external partners in the course of their duties.

It would be advantageous to hold a relevant qualification and or experience in one of the disciplines outlined above but consideration will be given to those candidates that display a commitment to working towards a relevant qualification.
