Technical / Professional Services Consultant - About the role:

The Professional Services / Technical Consultant role will be a remote, home-based role, and occasionally work on a client site within the UK ( resolving issues that can’t be resolved remotely)working as part of a team, to provide effective solutions to escalated technical issues, and provide a high level of technical expertise to the business and customers. You will provide new technical solutions ensuring effective working across the full range of services provided by the business, understanding customer’s business requirements , and ensure successful implementation of the specific technologies required.

The role will particularly be focused on utilisation of networking technologies ( cisco, Unifi, FortiGate etc) as well as Public and Private Cloud.

The role will also involve working with technologies such as VMWare, Hyper-V, Exchange, AD, Windows Server, Cloud, Azure Ad, Office 365, etc.

Professional Services / Technical Consultant - Key Responsibilities:

• Support of multi-site technical environments including LAN, WAN, Microsoft, VMWare, Exchange, AD, Office 365, AZURE, Citrix
• Take ownership of escalated issues and provide relevant documentation for the benefit of support teams.
• Collaboration with clients to fully understand their business requirements, produce solution designs, and project plans.
• Configuration and deployment of network solutions for customers
• Maintain and develop good working relationships with clients and add value to way the MSP conduct their business / processes.
• Configuration and deployment of solutions for Public & Private Cloud
• Work closely with other team members, Project Managers throughout the project implementation lifecycle ensuring successful project delivery.

Professional Services / Technical Consultant - Essential Technical Skills:

Candidates must have some exposure to most of the technologies listed below:

• Desktop Applications including Exchange, AD, Windows Server
• VMWare / Hyper-V - reasonable level of understanding
• Office 365, Azure, Azure Virtual Desktop, Intune,
• Networking - Cisco, Unifi, FortiGate, MPLS
• Citrix deployment
• Solution design & projects experience

Successful candidates MUST HAVE a minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role working in an MSP or IT Service Provider.

Candidates must have a strong technical background around Networking ( Cisco / Unifi/ FortiGate) AD, Office 365, Azure, coupled with a strong customer service ethos and passion for resolving queries to a high stand. Candidates will have a broad technical skillset and be keen to look at learning new technologies and be happy to add value to the MSP’s processes and way they conduct business with clients.
