The role

We are currently looking for a Technical Sales Manager to join our Above Ground team. Reporting to the Regional Sales Director – South, the successful candidate will be responsible for securing converted orders by means of specifications and lead conversion for all products within the Wavin Above Ground product portfolio. They’ll also be responsible for effectively managing all End User subcontract relationships and driving maximum opportunity for the use of Wavin products.

 

Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly Commercial Objectives and KPIs
  • Engage with Specifiers to secure written confirmation of Wavin products on Commercial and Residential opportunities
  • Manage and develop End User relationships
  • Actively participate in business planning in order to grow and develop sales
  • Ensure that all customer requests are responded to professionally and efficiently
  • Positively promote the business, its products and its employees to ensure the business is protected at all times
  • Contribute to the development of all systems and procedures to continuously improve effectiveness
  • Log detailed activities and projects within the CRM system
  • Engage fully with all health and safety programmes
  • Ensure all management information – KPIs, Monthly Reports are submitted on time, in full
  • Deliver CPD and product training to all relevant parties
  • Contribute successfully to the launch of all new product ranges

Profile

  • Experience within a market-leading manufacturing business, preferably within the building products or construction industry
  • The drive to initiate action in order to meet customer needs
  • A proven track record of successful specification sales including management of a Project Pipeline
  • Drive and ambition. The successful candidate will set challenging goals and achieve them
  • The ability to communicate confidently across a wide range of mediums
  • Previous experience of using a CRM system, preferably Microsoft Dynamics
  • An entrepreneurial spirit in identifying new business opportunities
  • Experience in successful negotiation, persuasion and influencing
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills, sound IT skills and good problem solving skills
  • Confidence in making informed business decisions
  • A positive approach which adapts and responds well to change

 

We welcome applications from candidates from all abilities and backgrounds. The role is a permanent home-based position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday inclusive. The role will include regular travel covering the areas of Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire and therefore a driving licence is a necessary requirement for all applicants. Frequent overnight stays away from home are part of the role.
