Founded in 1875, the Nicholls and Clarke Group have grown to become the UK’s largest national manufacturer and distributor of ceramic and porcelain wall and floor tiles, Nicobond tile adhesives, grouting and floor levelling compounds, and fine quality sanitary ware.

Due to expansion, Nicobond, one of the UK’s largest manufacturers of cement based flooring and tiling products is looking for an additional Technical Sales Manager to cover the Southeast, and South of England selling to flooring contractors and other brands looking for toll manufacturing solutions.

It is vital to this role that you have experience in the flooring industry.
If you do not have the relevant experience your application will not be considered.

Being field based, you will not be situated in an office, although you will be working directly for the Nicobond factory in Stoke on Trent that will support you and help you grow your sales.

The Opportunity – Technical Sales Manager:

This excellent opportunity is ideal for an outgoing, engaging and friendly Sales professional, with previous experience working field based, visiting client sites on a daily basis.
With this, you must be prepared to travel daily and hold a valid UK driving licence.

You will ideally have experience in the Construction industry.
You will have a strong work ethic, with a positive mental attitude and a passion to succeed.

Responsibilities – Technical Sales Manager:

• Selling our range of smoothing compounds, screeds, DPM’s and other Nicobond products.
• Creating product specification for client’s projects.
• Ensuring retention, as well as growth, of business with new customers.
• Maintaining a sense of enthusiasm and commitment.
• Providing consistent, excellent customer service. 

What will you sell and to who?

You will be selling our extensive range of Nicobond flooring systems and associated products.

Our customer base includes yet not limited to, flooring contractors, building contractors, commercial developers, house builders and specifiers.

Person Specification – Technical Sales Manager:

• Previous experience within a similar flooring field-based sales role.
• A superstar go getter, can you close deals?
• You must have a full UK driving licence and be happy being field based, on the road on a daily basis.
• Someone with a dynamic, self-driven and can-do attitude.
• Prior experience within the flooring industry is essential.
• A commitment to excellent customer service.
• Friendly, engaging, and approachable.
• Passionate about bringing in new business.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A professional and positive approach.
• Good team player with attention to detail.
• Computer literate, preferably with CRM knowledge.
• Based centrally so able to cover London, the Southeast, and South of England.
• Not afraid to go the extra mile, when needed.
