Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Services Manager to join our passionate and driven team in 2 Rukin Square, Croydon London

Responsible for the overall management of technical (Hard) services across the contract taking day-to-day responsibility for our service delivery teams operating for the Council. The Technical Services Manager will have a technical Hard FM background and be able to properly lead on safety and supply partner matters. This role is the starting point of standardisation across the estate while maintaining and respecting each. The manager will be covered and supported in their roles by local on-site as well as mobile engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the contract's hard service provision including works coordination, auditing, technical compliance, asset management and reactive works.
  • Leads the day-to-day management of all hard-service team members.
  • Ensures health & safety compliance throughout all operations. Manages all required contract reporting in line with KPIs and SLAs.

About You:

  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • Confident and knowledgeable in the management of Hard FM services across a dispersed client estate, especially within the public sector.
  • Adept at obtaining the optimum performance from their teams to deliver compliant, best-in-class Technical Services for the client.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent in a technical discipline
  • IOS / NEBOSH qualified
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Membership of relevant professional body
  • Microsoft Office Packages
  • Previous experience managing Technical Services contracts within public sector
  • Proven experience in contributing to the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies, and practices for both the business and the client.
  • Experience utilising the CAFM system
  • Control and management of budgets
  • Experience in working KPIs
  • Proven record of continuous, improvement and change management
  • Excellent Communication, Presentation, organisational & time management skills
  • Demonstratable leadership skills and a proven record of developing &coaching high-performance teams.
  • Knowledge in human resources including equality diversity requirements
  • Knowledge and experience in organisational effectiveness &operational management, i.e. implementation best practices.
  • Appreciating the identification and delivery of social value impacts of this contract
