AddressThe Data Cabling Technical Supervisor is responsible for supporting a team of field-based Data Engineers within the region including H&S, performance and development reviews and technical support. You will also be responsible for attending your own break fix / fault requests within the region issued on behalf of our managed service contracts.
You will have experience of the installation and fault finding of Structured and Voice Cabling systems and preferably hold the CNCI (Certified Network Cable Installer) qualification. You will also have experience of leading/ supervising engineers.
You will be responsible for responding to any of our managed service contract break fix requests as per the contract SLA's.
This role is a mobile position covering a region of managed service contracts; therefore, a company van is provided as part of the package.
Responsibilities
You will:
- Deliver technical solutions to both internal and external customers and be responsible for day-to-day management of regional engineer teams including internal resource and Service Partners.
- Ensure all works meet and exceed client expectations, as we as the requirements to meet/ exceed international standards and manufacturers installation guideline systems.
- Ensuring design and installation meets internal and client specifications and statutory requirements.
- Provide support with the daily engagement of the field-based Solution Engineers
- Have evident experience of the installation of Structured and Voice Cabling Systems
- Be fully conversant with the setup and operation of Fluke Analysers
- Locate and rectify faults on structured cabling systems.
- Work from construction drawings
- Support with Health & Safety (H&S) requirements, equipment and tooling, engage in recruitment and month end administration processing.
- Help in the training and development plans of engineers and conduct performance reviews.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and engagement is maintained.
- Develop engineer training plan to ensure the team are equipped to deliver against current and forecast business needs.
