The Role
Thanks to our innovative products and great team – we are proud that the business is continuing to grow, we now have an opportunity for an entry-level Technical Support Engineer to join our professional IT team based in Midsomer Norton.
An entry-level IT position where you will be given excellent training and mentoring to progress the role. The opportunity to play a key role in the ongoing smooth operation of local business activities. Technical training is provided to give opportunities to become involved in wider-ranger projects.
Responsibilities
*    To provide excellent IT support services to South West sites.
*    Ensuring that Corporate IT policies are adhered to and maintained.
*    Provisioning smooth operation of all IT functions.
*    Providing a strong platform to enable and enhance business activities.
*    Safety and Security Commitment
Qualifications / Experience Critical for the Job Holder
*    Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
*    Ability to prioritise tickets based upon business criticality.
*    Interpersonal and communications skills – Ability to communicate with all levels of the business from shop-floor to management.
*    Full driving license – Travel between two sites will be required.
*    Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (both desktop and server based)
*    Understanding of Local Area Networking experience (TCP/IP, Ethernet)
*    Basic IT troubleshooting skills
*    An understanding of hardware, software, networks, and systems.
*    Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems under pressure.
*    Clear communication, patience, and empathy to assist users with varying technical knowledge.
*    Translating complex technical jargon into understandable language.
*    Skills in system administration and ongoing maintenance of IT resources.
