Location of Role:The Vyne School
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Technician to join our dedicated and expanding school.
To provide an efficient and effective Technician support service for the Art, Design & Technology & Food departments to support delivery of effective teaching and learning and helping pupils to become successful learners.
To work primarily on own initiative, but also as part of the teaching staff team to ensure all technical support services are delivered to a high standard.
- Prepare all materials, equipment and resources for lessons as required by teaching staff and ensure these are set out ready for the start of lessons
- Remove all equipment and materials at the end of lessons and ensure teaching and resource areas are maintained in a clean and tidy state
- Sourcing of materials and equipment as required by teaching staff.
- Provide technical support and organisation for examinations and coursework; including termly external examinations, internal School examinations, and GCSEs examinations as directed by teaching staff
- Assist teaching staff with presentation of work for display and exhibition purposes
- Assist with the display of work in the department and around the School
- Undertake regular checks on equipment for safety and efficiency, and liaise with internal departments and arrange appropriate maintenance to ensure equipment and IT facilities are in good working order at all times
- Arrange for external specialist equipment repair as required
