This is a part-time role: 32 hours per week
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Technician and support the Ceramics department. You will have a proactive can-do attitude, be positive about change and innovation, and be able to drive and support consistency and improvement within the department. You will support colleagues and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, working across the department to embed different ways of delivering teaching, learning and assessment.
The successful candidate will be a people person with exceptional communication skills, able to guide others through change. Demonstrating coaching experience and a background in teaching and learning that fosters our culture of working with and supporting colleagues to develop.
What You Will Do
- You will be responsible for supporting the upkeep of the department and maintaining the area and the equipment.
- You will be responsible for planning, tracking and assessment throughout the year.
- You will be responsible for the creation and upkeep of course review documents throughout the year.
- You will lead on all quality aspects of course delivery and reporting.
- You will support our learners with support and guidance throughout their academic journey by helping to create exciting/relevant industry-standard resources
- Have experience of working in a ceramics studio and able to deliver technical skills to other learners.
- Experience will include positively managing students to ensure excellent retention, achievement, success and attendance with our cohort of learners.
- Build positive relationships with students and staff using restorative practice techniques, be flexible and a positive role model across our campus.
- Your skill-set will also include excellent organisation skills and the ability to provide productive insight into the development of the courses.
