Head of IT & Technology Procurement - UK regulatory body currently going through a wider procurement transformation - London based + hybrid working £100-110k + excellent pension

This organisation who are deeply embedded within the UK, are looking to take the next step to become a digital and data lead organisation, where the use of cloud technology and innovative AI solutions will take centre stage. They are therefore looking for a highly experienced, motivated and innovative Head of IT Procurement to join their growing procurement function based in London to lead on this journey of change.

This role will lead and head their Digital, Data & Technology categories, play a key role in defining their wider technology strategy and also support the current Head of Procurement in building a robust procurement strategy. This is a new role within this organisations structure, highlighting the journey of transformation and growth they are embarking on. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to not only make significant impact on wider technology transformation across the organisation, but also get exposed to wider business transformation and leadership, vital if you are looking to progress into head of or above in the future.

In this procurement role you will be -

• Driving category strategy across technology, digital and data tools and platforms, ensuring strategy is built around the organisations future plans and frameworks
• A role model and leader within the procurement function, supporting the head of in developing and implementing wider transformation objectives
• Taking advantage of the opportunity to step up into senior leadership whilst exposing yourself and networking to senior figureheads within your industry

Experience required for this role -

• An excellent understanding of public procurement policy and it's regulations, whilst having experience of managing complex projects and negotiations with bespoke IT and technology solutions
• Proven commercial awareness and ability to operate within a changing and evolving environment
• Hold CIPS or MCIPS qualifications
