Overview:
We are seeking skilled and experienced Poling gangs to join our Team to work on several contracts based in Southern England.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installing and removing poles, including dressing new poles
- Replacing/renewing existing drop-wires/ aerial cabling
- Replacing/renewing overhead and UG joints in the Openreach fibre and copper network
- Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with Service Level Agreements
- Undertaking works in accordance with Health and Safety legislation, Company and Client Health and Safety standards
•Understanding of safe dig practices and how to read safe dig prints
•Operating Pole Erection Unit & various MEWP's
Key Requirements:
- Flexibility / the availability to work away from home when required
- A full UK licence with a maximum of 6 points (at least one crew member will require a HGV Class 2 licence)
- Self-motivated, results driven and the ability to remain calm in pressured situations
- Excellent time management & organisation
- Professional communication with internal and external clients and representatives
- Computer/ tablet literate
- Previous experience of the installation and removal of Poles on the Openreach network / worked within the Openreach overhead and underground network (preffered)
Accreditations Required:
- Hold or have held Openreach overhead and cabling accreditation modules, including K8, N27, N28, A8, O01, O02, O03, O04, O05, O06, O07, O09, A12, A14.
- Confident with working at heights
- Streetworks units 1 to 6 & 9
- IPAF 1B
- NPORS Lorry Loader
- Openreach/Smart Awards OH and UG accreditations
- Hold full NRSWA Street-works qualifications at operative level
- HIAB experience

Job Type: Self employed working on price work
Schedule
- Largely day work (occasional out of hours)
- Monday to Friday (weekend work also available and sometimes required)
