Job/Person Summary
St. Aloysius’ Catholic Primary School is looking to recruit a full-time Class Teacher, for 1 year in the first instance, from September 2024. There may be an opportunity to extend this contract at the end of the 1 year period.
St. Aloysius’ Catholic Primary School is a vibrant Catholic School situated in the heart of the city of Oxford. Here we seek to find God in all that we learn and recognise him in one another. We aim to make the best use of our gifts to serve others. We welcome applications from teachers of all faiths and no faith.
We are currently looking for a candidate with high expectations, who is determined to provide the highest quality education for the children in their care. Someone who has teaching (either in post or training) and a commitment to working as part of a team.
We can offer pupils who are excited about learning, well-motivated and supported by their families and a dedicated, enthusiastic and creative staff team. Our recent staff survey found that 100% of staff are proud to be a member of staff at our school.
This vacancy would be suitable for an experienced teacher or ECT. We have a long and established history of mentoring students and early career teachers. Part-time applicants will also be considered.
We have a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere and are committed to outstanding pastoral care for our students. We have excellent links with our parish and benefit from the many advantages of being right in the heart of this great city.
As part of The Cherwell Partnership we work closely together with other schools to improve our teaching and learning strategies, curriculum and support for vulnerable learners.
Our school is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
This post involves the type of work with children and young people that requires applicants to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service and online internet checks. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post. All cases are considered confidentially and according to the nature of the role and information disclosed.
We welcome visits to the school or alternatively you can speak to a member of the SLT (please telephone 01865 311056 to arrange a suitable time).
Please Note: For the right candidate, we may interview and appoint prior to the vacancy deadline.
