Finance Manager
3-6month contract initially
Milton Keynes (fully office based)
Salary circa £50,000 per annum
Hours - 37.5 hours (flexible start and finish times)
As a Finance Manager of a team of two, you will ensure the smooth and efficient running of the day to day and monthly finance function. You will maintain and develop the management accounts, year-end and accounting system and procedures in an efficient and effective manner to achieve the businesses objectives. To maintain and develop management reporting and cost analysis reviews.
Key responsibilities will include:
- General accounting duties such as managing expenses ,credit csrds and accounts payable and credit control duties
- Cash Flow Management - such as preparing and managing cash flow forecast, preparing montly run , undertaking back reconcilations, posting of cash books
- Monthly and Annual Accounts - such as preparing monthly client accruals, checking and posting. Preparation of the monthly management accounts, reporting on variances as required, including, balance sheet reconciliation, journals, accruals, prepayment and WIP analysis. Preparation of monthly client revenue / profit reports. Preparation of year end audit file
- Forecasting & Reporting such as Preparing and issuing weekly and monthly reports, as required, Preparing annual forecast and any reforecasting as appropriate, Assisting with financial element for tenders and business with periodic analytical information, as required
- Revenue / HMRC - Responsible for Company compliance with all HMRC submissions, VAT preparation, reconciliation and submission, Reconciling PAYE, and processing payment
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Qualified accountant (Ideally ACCA/CIMA or Similar) or by experience
- Experience of SAGE essential
- Strong accounting background, and experience in a similar role
- System savvy, with advanced excel and strong financial/reporting modelling skills
