Temporary Lecturer – Access to Education

The Faculty of Arts and Continuing Learning are looking for an experienced individual to deliver Access to Education courses to a diverse range of students across a number of levels. Experience delivering numeracy, digital skills, wellbeing, personal development qualifications and Wider Core Skills subjects is essential, as well as experience in working with young people in a community setting.

The post holder will work closely with the Curriculum Manager to provide high quality learning and assessment opportunities that will enhance learning and teaching with a strong learner focus.

You will be educated to SCQF Level 8 or have relevant professional equivalent in the specialist area, or significant relevant experience in the specialist area. As an academic member of staff of Glasgow Clyde College you will aid excellence in learning through the preparation and delivery of high quality learning, teaching and assessment materials, and by supporting learners.

Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, work to their own initiative and relate well to student groups. With excellent organisational skills and a proven ability to work under pressure, candidates must have a flexible and can do attitude to work and be qualified in their preferred subject area.

Salary: £35,170 - £43,357 per annum (pro rata)

Location: Cardonald Campus - successful candidates will be expected to work across all Glasgow Clyde campuses
