Temporary Management Accountant

Are you an experienced and qualified accountant looking for an interesting temporary assignment?

Are you free at short notice for a period of at least three months? If so, our wonderful client is seeking some urgent temporary support.

As the Temporary Management Accountant, you will be assisting a busy team with a range of critical accounting tasks.

Working hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday. There is no parking on site, so you must be able to commute daily via public transport.

Please note, this is a temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis. This role will start quickly, so sadly candidates with a lengthy notice period cannot be considered.

Temporary Management Accountant Responsibilities

• Assisting with transactional activities, invoicing, coding, reconciliations and reporting
• Timely reporting, including costings, budgeting and financial information management
• Ensuring month end, quarter end and year end deadlines are met
• Completing VAT returns and advising on VAT policy implementation
• Assisting with staff management, monitoring their work including invoicing and AR
• Payroll checks, including any associated queries and journals.

Temporary Management Accountant Requirements

• Qualified accountant, with strong financial knowledge gained in a similar role
• Numerate, with an ability to work confidently with numbers
• Experience of working in a professional business environment, within a complex organisation; proven experience implementing controls and processes
• Self-motivated with strong leadership skills evidenced by previous line management
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel to an advanced standard
• Experience using Oracle for AR

Our client is located in Central Oxford (OX2). Sadly there is no parking on site - public transport will be essential.
