Job description

ackson Hogg are looking to recruit a Sales Administrator on a 6 month temporary contract for a fantastic manufacturing organisation based in Washington.

Sales Administrator role overview

The position reports to the Senior Sales Manager. In addition to supporting customers with reactive quotes for standard product, the internal sales function will adopt pro-active sales management tools to identify and secure additional revenue from the existing customers, securing high margin repeat business by analysing historical data, utilising stock availability, and leveraging product USP’s. The primary objective is to drive greater engagement with our existing customer base and boost sales growth.

Responsibilities of the Sales Administrator

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of how the company operates, its products, their use in application and company internal processes and procedures.

  • Establish and build strong customer relationships and communications channels, maintaining and strengthening existing accounts.

  • Pre & post-sales support of customers a daily function of the role.

  • Answering customer phone calls and responding to sales / customer service enquiries rapidly using the quotation procedure

  • Effective use of the company CRM system to ensure up-to-date customer and pricing information.

  • Working with the sales and marketing teams, help develop and implement a strategy for fast moving goods that drives sales in the more profitable parts of the product mix

  • Identify aftermarket / upselling opportunities

  • Work closely with the sales managers to ensure a consistent approach to customer pricing management and control

  • Manage new commercial opportunities in accordance with the documented process for enquiries that may require new products.

  • Review existing and past commercial projects for aftermarket opportunities.

  • Data collection and analysis to aid with forecasting, reporting and other applicable metrics and KPIs.

  • Any other special tasks, assignments or projects as requested by the company.

Requirements of the Sales Administrator

Professional Requirements

  • Experienced in a sales & customer service environment.

  • High level of computer literacy and full working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 tools

  • Good standard of education – high standard of written and verbal communication

  • Multi-lingual would be an advantage (although not essential)
