- Location: Eastbourne
- Duration: Temporary - 2-4 Weeks.
- Pay Rate: £11.59 - £12.18 per hour.
- Hours of work: Varied hours between 8.00am- 19.00pm - 35 hours a week
HRGO Recruitment are seeking a reliable and School Handyman to join our client based in a School.
The School Handyman will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our school facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of school facilities to identify maintenance needs and repair issues
- Repair or replace faulty equipment, fixtures, and furniture
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and faculty
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas and storage rooms
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of school events and activities
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed
Requirements:
- Must have an Enhanced DBS Certificate
- Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance tasks
- Familiarity with tools and equipment commonly used in maintenance work
