Temporary Warehouse Operatives (Fixed Term Contract)

Our team is based at our Head Office just outside The Peak District National Park off jct28 of the M1 corridor.

Position:

Great opportunity to join our Warehouse Team as a Temporary Warehouse Operative on a fixed term contractfrom 5th August 2024- 31st January 2025, preparing and dispatching customer orders from stock held at the company warehouse sites. Ensuring priority orders are processed and sent on time.

Key responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Ensuring priority orders are processed and sent on time
• Use in-house scanners to pick and pack orders, achieving dispatch within specified timescales
• Accurate order picking with minimal errors
• Use in-house computer system to produce dispatch notes and invoices
• Carry out accurate stock checking and inventory as required
• Achieve targets and job standards set by the Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Manager

Requirements:

To join us you must have:

Essential

• Ability to learn an in-house computer and scanning system
• Ability to follow instructions accurately
• Basic numeracy, literacy and computer skills
• Be able to lift and carry weights up to 15kg approx
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and to deadlines
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently
• Organised and methodical working

Desirable

• Experience of working in a warehouse environment
• Experience of picking and packing
• Experience of using computer-based packing systems
• Experience of courier dispatch
• Qualified and competent to use a Forklift Truck
