Curo, a leading housing association based in Bath, are seeking an individual who is passionate about delivering renowned customer service, to take on the role of Tenancy Advisor

What you'll be doing

As a Tenancy Advisor, you ll spend time out and about visiting our customers in their homes, inspecting properties and reviewing tenancies due for renewal.

You ll also be assisting customers who want to do a mutual exchange, end their tenancy or need permission for things such as lodgers, pets and businesses.

Through the services that we deliver you will have the opportunity to learn more about housing management practices and housing law.

Family circumstances change from time to time, so you ll be on hand to give advice to customers when this happens to them.

You ll be liaising with colleagues to ensure customers have the right support to sustain their tenancies.

More about you

The successful Tenancy Advisor will be committed to delivering excellent customer service and finding the right outcomes to resolve issues. You ll love getting out and about and meeting customers in their homes.

You will need a basic understanding of buildings so you can complete property inspections, but more fundamentally you will be able to understand people. You will encounter a wide variety of situations, which will require you to be empathetic, but also firm on occasions.

Knowledge of housing law is a plus, however this can be learnt. Once we ve given you the skills, you will be comfortable interpreting the law to different circumstances and appreciate the need for accuracy when drawing up legal paperwork. Signposting to local services will be an important part of this role, too, so you will be able to keep up to date on what is available to customers.

You ll have excellent IT, communication and negotiation skills, with a diplomatic approach and the ability to relate to a diverse range of people. You will be highly organised with a methodical approach allowing you to work accurately under pressure and have the ability to prioritise a busy workload and work to tight deadlines.

At the same time, you will demonstrate resilience and the desire to work in an interesting environment where no day is ever the same!

When and where you'll be doing it

You will be able to work flexibly, between Monday to Friday, based on your customers needs. This means you will be able to set your own diary.

You ll be able to travel in our operating area and visit customers as and when necessary using your own car and you ll have a full driving license. (Please state this is present on your application)
