Purpose of the Role:
As a Test Analyst you will be a guardian of iPipeline’s products and services by providing quality assurance on all code, documents and processes throughout the development life cycle. In this role you will work on a variety of interesting projects in a cross-team environment working with automation test tools as well as manual exploratory testing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand both the UK and the global iPipeline processes and procedures used within Testing
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the functionality of both the UK and the global iPipeline products and services
- Create and execute test scripts appropriate to the methodology used in the project
- Record defects in the appropriate defect tracking software
- Participate in UAT, System Testing, Smoke Testing, Performance Testing, Integration Testing, Interface Testing and Regression Testing
- Support out of hours testing when required
- Understand products and iPipeline’s place within the financial services industry
- Estimate testing effort required for both agile and waterfall methodologies
- Create, execute and maintain automated tests
- Review test plans and scripts created by other members of the team
- Review specifications and implementation plans
- Keep abreast of testing techniques and methodologies
SKILLS:
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to build constructive working relationships with colleagues and other teams within iPipeline
- Ability to self-manage time and workload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven structured IT testing experience
- Hands-on with automated testing tools and techniques
- Build REST APIs automation from scratch across varying levels of architecture (with a key focus on automation).
- Hands-on programming and trouble-shooting skills for Automation, Instrumentation and IT systems
- Implementation of automated testing solutions with Selenium, SoapUI, Postman, Newman, LoadRunner
- Scripting using programming language - Java, C#, PowerShell, JavaScript, Node js, Groovy, etc.
- Solid understanding on SQLs
- Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecyle process including Agile and Waterfall
- Be aware of GDPR and security requirements.
