Key Responsibilities:

As a Test Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the structured development process related to product testing and development.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

Conducting product Development Testing under the supervision and mentoring of R&D Technicians, Design Engineers, and Engineering Manager.

Designing qualification test parameters for the validation of new products.

Applying relevant engineering standards, legislation, certification, and customer compliance to ensure comprehensive validation and reporting.

Compiling detailed Test Reports.

Conducting concurrent engineering tasks to optimize designs for Manufacturing Methodology, Assembly, and Testing processes.

Compiling Operating and Maintenance Manuals for derivative products, assisting Marketing and Sales Companies where appropriate.

Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

Previous experience in similar roles and environments.

Mechanical Engineering Degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification/experience.

Demonstrable key skills and knowledge in materials, stress analysis, and practical mechanical assembly.

Practical skills and a good working knowledge of precision manufacturing, CNC lathes, milling, and general fabrication.

Experience or knowledge of engineering software, including 2D and 3D CAD, Mathcad, MS Office.

High attention to detail, excellent organisational and time management skills.

A can-do attitude and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
