Introduction
Our client is a smaller supplier to the Government and they are looking for a Test Manager or Lead to support their software engineering team!
You will ensure functionality of software and applications, and suitable for end-users.
It is likely that you will need to be onsite the majority of the time.
Key responsibilities
- Work alongside production and assurance teams to test the functionality, usability, security aspects of products as they mature through production stages to released products.
- Managing test and other resources.
- Development of Test Strategies and specific Test Plans and schedules.
- Working closely with Project Managers and Engineers to understand and mitigate Risk.
- Inputting into the development phase to identify issues early.
- Identifying problems in functionality, performance, quality etc. and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Verification of functionality against user requirements, security requirements, and specifications.
- Liaising with end-users to ensure that the functionality and Man-Machine-Interface, where applicable is intuitive and fit for purpose.
- Preparing test reports in conjunction with technical assurance specialists and be able to communicate the results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Skills & experience
- Experience of managing and leading test teams and processes.
- Experience of developing test strategies and plans.
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills (technical and non-technical).
