Theatre Nurse / ODP - Private Hospital
  • Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
  • Position: Theatre Practitioner / Nurse
  • Service: General Hospital
  • Care: Theatre - Orthopaedic Scrub
  • Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 per annum ( Band 5 / 6 ) - negotiable depending on experience
  • Hours: Full time 37.5 hours - NO NIGHTS
  • Contract type: Permanent
About the role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated Theatre Practitioner / Nurse to join a highly reputable Private Hospital based in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. The service is ideally situated within easy reach of public transport links, local shops and amenities. The hospital boasts state of the art facilities and the team are passionate about the quality of care that they provide. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Theatre Practitioner / nurse join their friendly theatre team, focussing on orthopaedic scrub. The team put their patients at the heart of everything they do and looking for a like-minded Theatre Practitioner / Nurse to join them. The service provides comprehensive diagnostic services and a variety of surgical procedures. The hospital has 5 operating theatres, including three laminar flow theatres for orthopaedic surgery.
Duties and responsibilities
You will be working as a Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner / Nurse part of the theatre team and will be responsible for:
  • Caring for patients undergoing a range of procedures
  • Providing exemplary planned care for patients within the perioperative stage
  • Scrubbing for a variety of procedures and working across varied specialities
  • Accessing patients needs, implementing and evaluating their care
Who we're looking for
  • Valid NMC / HCPC registration - your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • At least 2 years orthopaedic scrub experience in the UK is essential for this position
  • Compassionate and able to showcase excellent patient care
  • Previous experience in a similar setting
  • Strong communication skills
