At ECPAT UK our vision is that children everywhere enjoy their rights to be protected and to lives free from exploitation, trafficking and modern slavery. Our values are rights based, trauma informed and child-centred. We are a small charity that has achieved a lot, punching above our weight to make changes in understanding and awareness of child trafficking and exploitation and achieving change in legislation, policy and practice to improve the UK’s response to this abuse.
If you share our vision and values then please do consider applying to become our next Youth Programme Manager and Therapeutic Lead. We welcome applications from inspirational, passionate individuals who are keen to work with us.
ECPAT UK’s Youth Programme Manager and Therapeutic Lead is a critical leading role in the organisation managing our direct work with young victims and survivors of child trafficking and embedding participation across our integrated approach to working with young people. We seek an exceptional and experienced practitioner grounded in trauma informed practice in a relevant professional practice area such as youth work, mental health, social work, education or community work.
We need someone who can maintain safe and innovative practice with young people keeping that front and centre of all we do, encouraging development and participation and who thrives on working across direct practice and operational development. The role requires operational delivery as well developing the programme and contributing to organisational and systemic change with young people’s voices and participation at heart. It requires the postholder to be hands on and present for the delivery of services.
This is a great opportunity for someone who’s passionate about improving the life chances of some of the most marginalised young people and ensuring they are at the centre of our work. You will have experience of delivering rights based, inclusive and trauma informed practice and of working with young people affected by trafficking and modern slavery and/or criminal justice and/or social justice and inequality and/or within migrant and refugee communities. We offer flexible working, a friendly, supportive working environment and the chance to make a difference to children and young people. Within our small charity there is lots of scope for development and learning due to our integrated approach.
