Purpose of the Role
Training is divided into two main areas at IriusRisk: Client and Internal, this role is aimed primarily at Clients, and secondarily for internal purposes. The Head of Training is a role responsible for devising and implementing a comprehensive training strategy that aligns with our business objectives. Your primary focus will be identifying training needs, designing relevant programs, and assessing their impact on client success, adoption and expansion. A background in Threat Modelling and Appsec in major corporates will be necessary.
As a Training Manager, you will collaborate with various departments to ensure clients receive the necessary training to excel in their rollouts and contribute to the overall success of the company. Successful candidates for this position typically have backgrounds in Threat Modeling. Training will likely be delivered through online courses, and part of the responsibilities for this role will be to coordinate with our training partners and to design and implement those courses.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify and assess future and current client training needs through Threat Modeling Maturity Level analysis, best practise deployment methods, and utilisation of IriusRisk software
- Design a training plan that addresses needs and expectations
- Deploy a wide variety of Training methods - Online and ondemand for scalability
- Conduct effective induction and onboarding sessions
- Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them
- Manage training budget
- Work with partners to deliver training courses
- Provide opportunities for ongoing development
- Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary
- Maintain a keen understanding of Training trends, developments and best practices

Requirements
Essential Skills
- Proven work experience as a Training Manager in Threat Modelling and/or Appsec
- Track record in designing and executing successful training programs
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
- Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals
- BSc degree or higher
