Our client a very successful and well established manufacturer based near Thetford, are looking for aTIG Welder / Fabricator.
It's a great opportunity if you are a Welder Fabricator looking for a role in an exciting and fast growing business. You'll be working on stainless steel parts, in the main formed from sheet material ,some occasional M.I.G welding may be required.
This is a workshop based role ,but a willingness to work away on occasions would be helpful.
Package For the TIG Welder Role:
- Salary: Around £16 per hour
- Mon-Fri 08.00 -16.30 with 30minutes for lunch at 12.30-13:00
- Very competitive overtime rate time and half - double depending on days and hours.
- 25 days holiday plus BH's

- Accuracy of work & standard of finishing is critical.
- Many welded joints particularly on outside corners will need to have the welds removed flush & dull polish grain markings matched up again.
- Working on a variety of site and / or workshop based projects
- Fabrication of structural steel work and sheet metal from drawings
- Using workshop machineries such as guillotines, saws, rollers, drills, grinder etc.
- Welding to high standards using TIG & MIG
- Adhere to project deadlines
- Maintaining good working relationships with customers and suppliers
- Adhering to the health & safety policy
- Ensuring quality targets are met
- Full UK Drivers Licence
- MIG and TIG Welding: 2 years
- Basic maths and design skills
- The ability to read and understand engineering diagrams and technical drawings.
- Live within a commutable distance
- Knowledge of the food, drink or energy industry
- Problem solving skills
- Stick welding
- Forklift Ticket
- CSCS Card
