About the role
Imagine a role where you get to work in a Green Flag accredited park and busy Nature Centre where you can see the meerkats each day.
Tilgate Park offers a range of activities and events throughout the year and is a popular attraction for visitors regionally. Located within the park is the Nature Centre housing over 100 different species including alpaca, lemur, tapir as well as exotic birds and amphibians.
Each year we have over 150,000 visitors and the onsite shop supports admission and sales of a range of merchandise.
We are looking to recruit a casual Retail Assistant to join our experienced team who are all ambassadors to make great memories in our parks.
If you come from a retail or sales background and can help turning our visitors experience into magical moments we would like to hear from you.
You should have:
- great customer service skills
- previous retail or sales experience
- confident operating an electronic till and handling cash
- good communication skills and able to support a range of visitors with different needs
- calm under pressure
- awareness of stock control methods
We will provide you will full training, a uniform and a chance to work in a unique and exciting location.

Additional information
Working hours will be given alongside the team on a casual basis between:
- 10am to 18.30pm April to October
- 10am to 16.30 November to March
Satisfactory clearance of a Basic Disclosure and Barring Check (DBS) is a condition of employment.
