Fire Safety Projects Manager

 

London based with a balance of home and office working - covering sites across North London

 

£50,455 - £53,110 per year plus Company car

 

35 hours per week

 

We have an opportunity for a Fire Safety Projects Manager to join our Fire and Security team based in London. The main purpose of this role is to manage the delivery of fire risk assessment remedial actions through contractors and the day to day management of east fire risk assessors.

 

The role of Fire Safety Projects Manager will include:

  • Manage contractors in accordance with their contractual terms, making recommendations for improvements and implementing actions as appropriate
  • Support the delivery of a cost effective fire risk assessments service by operating within appropriate financial policies, procedures and financial limits/budgets
  • Ensure investment works are compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements and make appropriate recommendations on changes
  • Manage and monitor contractor invoicing and quotations to ensure that the business is always receiving value for money
  • Manage the recruitment, performance and development of quality staff to ensure that skilled staff are available to meet business needs

 

Skills and experiences:

  • To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to AssocRIC,MRICS CIOB, FPA level 3 , FPA level 4, currently undertaking the qualification or prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group.
  • Proven experience in a building and/or quantity surveying environment
  • Experience of contractor management and delivering services within budget
  • Previous experience of managing contractors against their contractual obligations and targets
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

 

As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications.  Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
