Tool Hire Supervisor

Jewson Leicester is on the hunt for a Tool Hire Supervisor who's as passionate about great service as we are. This is a busy and varied role which will see you managing your own Tool Hire department in our branch.

Hours: 7.30 - 5.00 Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning 8-12

Location: 150 Welford Rd, Leicester LE2 6BA

Required Skills and Experience:

• Full driving licence (manual transmission), held for more than 1 year

• Previous industry experience preferred but not essential

• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work accordingly

• Strong communication skills

• Experience dealing with internal and external customers

• Leadership experience would also be beneficial to the role

Key Responsibilities of a Tool Hire Supervisor:

• Managing the Tool Hire department in branch; processing hire agreements, providing quotes, driving targets to ensure profitability, promoting the business

• Supervising a small team to ensure that great relationships are developed with our customers

• Be in regular contact with our customers, face to face and over the phone, keeping them updated on their hires

• Collaborate with the wider network to support customer requirements and business activities, sourcing tools and equipment

• Get to know the local market to support plans for sales growth, reaching out to potential customers

• Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of our Tool Hire equipment in the workshop

• Occasionally act as delivery driver and perform delivery and collection of hire equipment using a 3.5t vehicle and trailer

• Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work

• Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement
