My client in Ashford is looking for a Tool Setter due to expansion.
Reporting To - Production Manager/ production assistant
Main purpose:
- To be able to set condition and optimise tools
- Tool trials
- To ensure quality standards are maintained
Duties & Responsibilities:
- To perform tool changes
- To be able to clean, spray tools after production run is finished
- To monitor and maintain quality levels and standards
- To strip and clean tools and gas vents
- To be able to set up run after tool change
- To ensure the quality of 1st off products and ensure that this is registered with QA department
- To maintain and optimize machine parameters throughout the production
- To be able to resolve production and tooling issues
- To be able to changed heater and other small machine maintenance
- To ensure that tools allocated to machine capabilities
- To understand the different materials
- To record and keep a record of setting on jobs
- To record and maintain proper records on oil changes or machine problems
- To be able to estimate cycle times on jobs
- To cover to charge hands in the event of sickness or holidays
- To be able to communicate with all departments.
To be able to perform from time to time tasks required by management
Location: Ashford
Salary: 12.50 hr
