Location: Oldbury
Hours of work: 07:30 – 16:00 Monday – Thursday / 07:30 – 12:30 Friday
Salary: £30,173.64 per annum
Mainstay Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Toolroom Operative on behalf of one of the UKS leading cold roll forming specialists to join their growing team. As a Toolroom Operative, you will be responsible for operating CNC Milling machines – Siemens Shopmill & XYZ Protrak and manual milling machines, bench fitting, responding for breakdowns etc.
Responsibilities
Operate toolroom machinery – CNC & Manual Milling – Siemens Shopmill & XYZ Protrak controlOperating EDM Wire Erosion machinesOperate a Forklift Truck to assist with daily duties whilst also enabling tooling to be delivered to productionEnsure as part of the team, manufacture is covered in a timely manner so that try-out dates are metEnsure as part of the team, breakdowns are covered in a timely manner so that production downtime is kept to a minimumLiaise with contractors/suppliers where required & when additional support is needed, including agreeing timescales & costsMaintain awareness & ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, housekeeping standards & Company rules & proceduresFollow verbal or written instructions & work to set out proceduresSeek continuous improvement related to the business KPI’s & as part of the team, contribute towards improved performance & the overall improvement of the business.
Candidate Requirements
Able to read engineering drawingsCNC & Manual Milling experiencePiercing, forming & cut off-tooling experience requiredWell organised, multi-skilled, self-motivated & professionalGood timekeeping & attendanceResponsible for achieving own key objectives, as well as the objectives of the teamAble to prioritise own workload & work to tight deadlines under pressureComputer literate & able to communicate & record information effectively
