Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Topographical Surveyor to join our team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting topographical surveys, analyzing data, and preparing detailed reports and maps. This role involves working on a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field surveys to gather topographical data using GPS, Total Station, and other surveying equipment.
- Analyze survey data to create detailed maps and reports.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure survey data meets project requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of survey data and findings.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals and bids.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior surveyors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in topographical surveying.
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as GPS, Total Station, and GIS software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or similar professional body is a plus.
