An exciting opportunity has presented itself for a Senior Town Planner to join an independent Planning Consultancy in their North West office.
My client is a focused and passionate Consultancy with big ambitions. They are searching for a similarly ambitious Senior Town Planner who is looking to build on their existing experience.
This consultancy works on a wide range of projects across most property sectors from heritage & conservation to mixed use and commercial, residential to retail and leisure to education. All team members are involved in a rich and diverse range of work, providing invaluable experience across the planning spectrum.
You will assist the team in the following core services:
- Appraisals and Planning Due Diligence.
- Planning Applications.
- Appeals and Expert Witness.
- Plan Representation.
Some of the duties of this role will involve:
- Preparing robust planning submissions; acting as agent, formulating the necessary planning justification.
- Taking part in complex planning briefs relating to Heritage sites and implementing planning strategy.
- Appeals and Expert witness, instructing counsel and presenting expert planning evidence.
- Promoting site allocations and influencing policy through emerging Local and Neighbourhood Plans.
- Making submissions and appearing at Local Plan Examinations.
The idea candidate will have 2+ years' experience, with demonstratable planning experience in a Senior role. Demonstratable experience of the planning process including preparation and submission of applications and appeals, and strong report writing skills essential. Experience of delivering recommendations on a range of major planning applications is desirable.
