Salary Our client has x 2 Planning Officer vacancies within their Development Management team. These roles will see you working on range of development management cases, requiring you to provide pre-application advice, process planning applications and issue Certificate of Lawfulness. On a daily basis, in line with our clients service-wide and corporate performance indicators, you will assess, negotiate and set out clear and robust recommendations in accurate, well written officer reports, based on relevant planning policies and other material considerations.
To apply for these roles you will need recent experience within a UK local authority development management team, and ideally you will have a minimum of 2 yrs post qualification experienced, though candidates with less experience will be considered. You will need to be able to work under pressure when required and quickly and efficiently in order to maintain our clients service standards. A degree level qualification in a relevant town planning discipline is required, full RTPI chartership is not essential.
These will initially be offered as a 3 month contracts, however, our client is a local authority in East London which is managing a high volume of planning applications, so this role has potential to go on for some time. The rate offered will be between £23-£28.55/hr (inside IR35) depending on your experience. These will be a hybrid roles and you will be required to carry out your own site visits.
