Freeths LLP
Planning Consultancy Opportunities
Freeths LLP Planning and Environment Group is a truly multi-disciplinary team comprising over 30 planning lawyers, environmental lawyers, advocates and planning consultants operating across all development sectors. The Group is recognised for its depth of knowledge, breadth of experience and for providing clear, pragmatic and commercial advice and support in navigating and managing the planning process – from the inception of a proposal through to advocacy – in order to secure the optimal outcome.
Identified in the Planning Law Survey as one of the fastest growing planning teams over two consecutive years and ranked as 16th largest in the country we are a passionate and ambitious team with a solid strategy for growth.
The existing Planning Consultancy practice operates nationally from offices in Nottingham and London and is led by Paul Brailsford (National Head of Planning and Environment), Mark Harris (Partner) and Mark Bassett (Director) with experience across all development sectors and both a varied and extensive client base.
Senior Director/Partner in Bristol and Manchester
We are excited about expanding our consultancy offering and are looking to recruit senior Directors/Partners to join the team and build a market leading practice in Bristol and Manchester with support from the wider Group. In Bristol we already have an established team comprising both planning and environmental lawyers alongside a rapidly growing real estate practice and in Manchester we are keen to replicate that multi-disciplinary offering working alongside an established real estate practice.
The ideal candidates will be well known in their respective markets, passionate about planning and have a strong track record of business development.
Associate/Senior Associate in Nottingham or London
In order to support continued growth in the national planning consultancy team we are looking to recruit a talented chartered Town Planner with 4-8 years general practice experience across a range of sectors including residential (application and local plan promotion), specialist residential such as student, build to rent and care and retirement; industrial and logistics, and retail.
The ideal candidate will be capable of leading on the day to day preparation of planning appraisals, applications and appeals and, with support, developing client relationships through business development activity.
