Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a dynamic and renowned Planning Consultancy in their hire of a talented and ambitious Town Planner to their Cardiff based team of professionals.
The growing team currently have a pipeline of wide, varied, and interesting work including complex and high-profile projects across Wales and the UK, from single bespoke architecturally designed dwellings, through to strategic sites. They have a track record of achieving results through planning applications and appeals.
They are now looking to expand further with the addition of an ambitious and hard-working Town Planner who is looking for quick professional progression and access to an exciting portfolio of projects!
Duties of the role will include:
- Prepare, review, and edit, reports and plans relating to a variety of projects.
- Process planning applications from individuals and organisations.
- Liaise directly with the client, local authority officers, statutory consultees and other parties involved in the planning process.
- Work with and co-ordinate the work of other professionals, such as architects, landscape architects, civil engineers, construction managers and surveyors.
- Knowledge of the legal issues associated with land use planning.
- Attend at meetings and appeals.
Candidate Requirements:
- MRTPI accredited degree in Town Planning or relevant subject.
- RTPI Membership, or eligibility.
- Public or private sector Planning experience, within Development Management advantageous.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- A 'can do' attitude and enthusiastic approach to work!
