Traffic Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Traffic Engineer to play a key role in a growing traffic and transportation business. Our client specialises in undertaking transport planning studies and developing traffic and transportation schemes for public and private sector clients. They provide several services including scheme design, transport planning and traffic modelling and you will have the opportunity to employ and develop a broad range of capabilities across these areas.
Our client is currently engaged in several very high-profile and challenging projects for key clients and there would be the opportunity to become involved in these projects directly and play a pivotal role in their delivery. REQUIREMENTS:
It is essential that you have:
A good level of professional work experience, with London experience highly desirable.
A relevant degree in engineering, a post graduate qualification in transport planning or a suitable level of professional experience to demonstrate capability.
A strong understanding and working knowledge of AutoCAD.
A working knowledge of industry guidance - TSRGD, Manual for Streets etc.
A high standard of numeracy.
Good written and spoken English.
A proficiency with MS Office software and Excel in particular.
With experience in project management desirable
Proficiency with some, or all the following software packages would also be considered beneficial:
Autodesk vehicle tracking
TRL Junctions 10 (ARCADY/PICADY)
JCT LinSig
TRL TRANSYT
PTV VISSIM
PARAMICS
PTV VISUM
